most accurate 22lr rifle?

A Browning T-Bolt can sure shake up the herd.
Too bad their triggers suck the bigg'un weenee.

Couldn`t agree more, gun itself and action are great, trigger sucks big time. Compare the trigger to the CZ 457 fully adjustable trigger and difference is like day and night.

though i guess i may should of been more specific, i was looking at rifles around the CZ price point, and am just going to be shooting cans, paper etc, it would seem the CZ is one of the better option

i appreciate the feedback

Tenda has a sale on cz rifles at the moment. Good selection and prices.

That MTR looks tempting, but for over $800 tx in I could have bought 2x Sav B22s instead of just one ;-) I have a Bushnell Engage MOA 6-18x40 scope ($400 B22+ 400 scope) that lets me see the hits at 200y if I want. (if I can hit something with the wind we get here)

Participated in an ORPS shoot on the weekend and the first stage was a KYL rack with targets from 1",3/4",1/2", and 1/4" at 50 yards measured by laser. The stage was eight rounds with bipod and one bag, Targets were shot from large to small and back from small to large. Shooter started one yard behind the line and adopted a shooting position on the engage command. The stage was shot clean by only two of the participants. One was shooting a Vudoo left hand configuration in a Jallen chassis with a Vortex Razor scope and Hardy carbon bipod with arca rail, so an eleven thousand dollar set up or there abouts. The other was a Dlask receiver with Kidd barrel and Volquartsen comp bolt and all other parts Kidd sitting in a Victor Titan stock with a USO scope with arca, so about a three thousand dollar set up or there about. There were competitors with many different types of rifles and there were competitors that shot seven out of eight with much less expensive set ups. So maybe it is a sport of the more you spend the better it shoots but a pop can flipped over is a pop can flipped over and fun is what you make it and a lot of fun can be had with an average rifle with average ammo. Practice and know ur gun and grins will happen!!

Couldnt agree more! Too bad it has a plastic encapsulated POS trigger. Its advertised as adjustable and has an allen screw that is in a blind hole that does SFA. Did the mod and it did get better but voids the warranty. Bought a Jard trigger and it made the rifle worth keeping and its extremely accurate. It soured me enough that I sold all my Browning guns and gave my BPS Ten gauge to a friend way up north. Im down to a 20 gauge XS skeet, 12 guage 725 sporting and the 17HMR ss with the jard trigger. Ill get PO one day and theyll hit the trail as well. No more plastic guns Savage or Brownings ever. JUNK. More interested in stickers and seat covers than guns

I haven't shot any of the other high-end 22s but my Vudoo V22 spits out 0.34 MOA groups at 100 meters. I love shooting it even if it does cost an arm and a leg.

I've shot lots of 22 rifles over the years . Winchester model 69 Cooeys Ruger 10 22 rifles Mossberg 22s etc. it's what feels good in your hands and shoots best for you . I had a buddy's son at our range tell me that his CZ 452 ? if I remember correctly wouldn't shoot certain 22 ammo very accurately. do your research . good luck in your choice and happy shooting .

There is one thing that needs mentioning here, are ya willing to buy high grade expensive ammo?? if not then you may as well buy a CZ and have fun. To wring out the top accuracy with Vudoo, Anschutz etc, ya have to be using top grade ammo.

Are .34 MOA groups at 100 meters produced regularly or on occasion?

If it does this consistently, it would be quite remarkable. At half the distance it would be shooting groups consistently under .20" which would be something to see.

Most accurate? I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bleiker... Anschutz and Walther would also be my next guess. Vudoo, RIM-X, Remmington 40x probably in there.

My question exactly!! The comments are valid as well.

As a rimfire accuracy "nut" and owning a couple of very accurate rimfires, it is virtually impossible for any of them to consistently stay under .2" at 50 meters. Dave.

I have a $6 grand hall that probably can’t do under .2 and will sell it in the spring,

without wind flags that is a impossibility, the outdoor records might not be under .2
and that is for guys with the best of guns, ammo, rests and one-half of a sense of humour when things go awry

We have a RAR (Ruger) in 22 mag that we love at the moment. The 18 inch barrel produces much tighter groups than I expected. But, for a downright blast you can't beat the GSG 15s. I threw my cheap red dot on mine when I got it and first time out, shot sub dime-sized groups at 20 yards...good enough to plink happily

Mauser/gsg 15 with anschutz match barrel, so awesomely accurate, Semi-Auto and 22 round mags, eats anything that is high velocity but does very well with eley standard. I bought mine from cabelas, get the match barrel.
