So I know these threads typically descend into a slagging match but anyway.
I recently had the pleasure of shooting a Sig P210 Target, High End Sig X5 and a Pardini GT all in 9mm. I also own CZ TS, Ruger 1911 and a Sig 226.
The best shooting overall was the Pardini. At 5 yards, yes I know not really a proper distance for comparisons, but apart from the 1st shot which was off dead centre by 1" the following 9 where all overlapping on the centre of the bull. Sights were excellent, trigger to die for and the accuracy speaks for itself.
Sig X5 was next best, close to the Pardini but slightly more overlap and the odd round not touching. Still truely excellent but we are talking the best here. No flames yet please, your chance will come.
Surprisingly the P210 came third. Again not by much but slightly wider spread. I think this was mainly due to the trigger being slightly heavier. I think I was throwing the rounds a bit more. With more time I could probably get the spread down
The CZ TS came fourth with a spread similar to the 210 but with a few more throws. Not really a fair comparison I know as the other three are very expensive guns. Also I have a lot more time on it.
The Pardini is significantly cheaper (about $1000) than the two Sigs but shoots better. An absolute dream to shoot point it and the bullet goes exactly there. Very impressed. Feels really good in the hand with great balance. I wouldn't kick any of them out of my gunsafe but the Pardini is really something. Perhaps not as pretty but man can it shoot.
OK let the flame begin. I know you 1911 lovers, and yes that includes me will be incensed, or find some reason to say a custom 1911 is better. Sorry guys as good but not better. You can't get much better than overlapping 9mm holes the first time you shoot a gun.
I am curious to know if anyone else knows of something that shoots in this category?
