Generally speaking, the one you find for your rifle.
Try H4350 or H4831sc and CCI250. I would stick to the 130 or 140nosler partitions on preference. Nosler reloading suggests starting with 48 to 52 with H4350 and 51 to 55 max with H4831. Some where close to 1 gr from max will be your friend in my experience. Experiment with jumping 20, 40 and 60 thou. Cheers. My 2c

Two offo my 270's both liked 54 gr. of H-4831 with 150 gr. Hornady's. I would expect similar results with Nosler partitions.

Moscow1990, I think you might be missing the point. There is no precise best load for your specified combination. Your gun, a tikka t3 lite has way too many variation between individual rifles as they come off the factory floor. Each gun is unique, thus a load that works under one persons t3, won't necessarily work for yours. Elk hunters answer is as precise as anyone can be if they are staying honest and if they know what they are talking about. Any reloading manual can tell you that 150 gr spire point like your partition bullet will best start with something like 54gr of H4831, but no one can tell you if that or anything close to it will respond well in your rifle. Each gun is unique, so load development must also be unique. You may want to consider reading a good reloading manual. I recommend Lyman's as the best overall.
I have used 150 grain Nosler partition in a 270.
I always use H4831 in a 270, with bullets of 130 grains, or heavier.
Hodgdon's brought out war surplus H4831 after the war, before there was any loading information on it. They just called it 4350 data powder, because it was safe to use the loading data for 4350.
Jack O'Connor, shooting editor of Outdoor Life Magazine, soon reported that 60 grains of H4831 with a 130 grain bullet in a 270 was a great load.
Soon many thousands of reloaders were using this load and it forever stuck, as the choice load for a 270 with 130 grain bullet.
I use that load, also 58 or 59 grains of H4831 with 150 grain bullet and the Nosler with this load is as good as it gets.
H4831 should be loaded right up for best accuracy and those two loads, with the 130 and 150, are about as accurate as the 270 gets.
Use the usual caution of down down a bit, when going into any new load.

I thought I would resurrect this thread and give my results on the OPs question. Nosler max is 55 grains with H4831 but accuracy was about 2" at 100 yds in my FN Win M70. As soon as I hit 58 grains the groups shrank to 3/4". No pressure signs were noted. A friend of mine just got back from an Elk hunt and he used this load in a Win Extreme weather. He was into the Gataga country in BC and shot a big bull at 200 yards. The bull was face on and two shots into the chest and the bull never took a step. I really like the 150 grain Partition in the 270.
Interesting, you found that Jack O'Connor's load of 58 grains of H831 with a 150 grain bullet was accurate!
Many hundreds of thousand of us who followed O'Connor knew you could just follow what he said in reloading and have the best there was.

yes Bruce I saw your post and felt confident that the groups would get better as we increased the charge. I read Jackès articles starting about 1966 when I was 12 but didn't get into reloading until 5 years ago. I didn't know he used that load. I have many of his books and he talks about loads a bit in them but can't recall him mentioning that one.
