I've been told by people I work with that they're far from impressed by the RA XCR platform.
What are some other options?
168gr over varget. Going to try a few diferent powders. Did not seem to like the 155 amax, but will try again at a later date. What grain Bullets are you using for the best results? If you don't mind.
This is very good shooting but also something we either see or hear of from clients who have a Modern Hunter.
The Varmints just started to roll out by I expect to see similar if not better reports.

Typically putting pressure on a barrel will cause it to shoot in different POI, when the pressure is in the same place, ie. a gas block to handguard and is close to the same pressure on every shot you will see 2 distinct "groups" on paper form.
We have been experimenting with a minor modification to the cam pin that seems to eliminate true flyers as opposed to barrel deflection from pressure put on the gas block. Once we have concluded the experiment we will share our findings, but things are looking promising.
The Swiss Arms I've seen all shoot and run VERY well. Then again, they're on par with a MH for cost...
Some of the heavy barrel XCRs are OK accuracy wise, but they seem to be quite finicky. I know the RA fanboys are always defending them, but why do they all have a full set of Allan keys in their shooting bag??
Tavors are NOT precision rifles, but they weren't built to be.
I have to make a case for ATRS's new Modern Varminter in .223 Wylde. I had it out for the second time today. I know, it's not really meant as a precision rifle. But the first time I had it out, I shot a 5 shot group at 3/4moa at 102 yards. Today, I was plinking a 6" gong at 100m. Ten out of ten everytime, off hand or off a bag.
I may take some flack for suggesting this....meh.
Got sub . MOA on Trinimon challenge, i dont have to say more... JP.[/IMG]![]()
That's impressive! I'm struggling a little to crack 1 Moa consistently with my fnar. I was beginning to think it didn't like varget, but maybe it's the 168's...

RA xcr
Actually this one was my sub .75 MOA success with my first FNAR, with my second FNAR i got sub MOA, i will attempt eventually to equal my first performance... JP.
With the barrel retention design they seem to be hit or miss and more often the latter.
With a little luck or perhaps a little more effort/patience to make another/more attempts .5MOA looks possible for the challenge.
When cost is factored in there's no denying the value of a FNAR for a NR .308 semi.-auto.
As for a .223 it's just a shame AR's aren't NR, otherwise the ACR re-barreled by Herron Arm's, a Swiss Sniper, HK SL8 and a Volquartsen Evolution should prove to offer MOA accuracy or better with hand-loads and perhaps the ATRS MV, however they're to new to say, however 6MT is shooting his well.
