Most accurate sporting .22 ???

The Remington 541s, not only very accurate but they look beautiful as well IMO. They do come up for sale once in awhile, can't really comment on what's available out there new to buy.

Aside from the usual CZs, Tikkas, Savage MK2s, and Anschutz 64 sportsters, the Winchester 69A is freaking accurate. I had a Winchester 190 that could shoot like a 69A as well. They were not scoped, so with open sights, I could shoot smaller than dime sized groups at 25 meters, benched. The only reason I sold my Winchesters is I was afraid parts supply might dry up soon.

I once owned for many moons a Winchester 490.
It was "obselete" for long gopher shoots but only because for reliability it needed full teardown and cleaning about every 350 rounds. Which is kind of rough for South Saskatchewan.

But it would easily outshoot the newer Ruger 10/22 accuracywise. Smoother trigger as well.
Both those rifles are gone now.
 
I have a Remington 541T [early production] that is very accurate, but you seldom see them for sale.
The 1710 Anschutz is pretty darn accurate, and would be my choice if I was looking. Dave.

I'm assuming anschutz? Since that appears to be a question but you actually answered it. Research on the internet would eliminate most question to this site.

Check out Rimfire Central as there is a wealth of information there as well.

Their 1710 and 1712 are both very accurate. So is the 1416D at a reduced price.

The Coopers are in the Anschutz price range. Tikka and CZ are excellent choices . . . you did not mention a price range.
 
I would love to have one of the new STEYR rifles, they look very nice and have tangent military sights.
the ANSCHUTZ are also nice but the sights on the 1710 are quite basic for the money ($2400) but the new 1761 have a quick point fiber optic sight on them. probably good for hunting but it's not really what I would want.
I have always had good luck with CZ and BRNO, MY 2E is great.
for a scoped gun you can't beat the TIKKA
