Thanks Can-down! You sure are good at the photo thing.

In my opinion the best looking handgun ever made is the Mauser C-96

A close second is the Luger

Now I can see how you would say it's functional, classic, historical, inventive, and valuable, but "BEAUTIFUL" -- my sense of beauty doesn't stretch that far. If I had a "Broomhandle", I'd keep it locked away. Something always makes me think of Broomhilda when I see a c96 (just me, I'm sure, I don't know why!).

Now the Luger -- humm, that's getting closer to beautiful IMHO. It's received quite a few endorsements.

My other wife:

or any of my other guns lol:

Some beautiful wood grips. Where did you find these??

Others have posted some great wood grips too, but I'm struggling to find a good source. I particularly like the rich, dark, slightly reddish "mahogany" look.

I also want to find a place where I can get good blank rifle stocks, unfinished. They don't have to be walnut or contain burls, fiddleback or whatever, but obviously a good hardwood like maple or maybe birch, and already cut and fitted to the type of action I want to use. All I want to do is the final finishing. Any ideas?

Merci!

Hey Mr. Can-Down,

Thanks ... I actually had that same jpeg image in my IMac's Document file. Maybe I just had to cut and paste it into this Message Box?

Let's see if this worked!

Its hard to say what is the most beautiful handgun, but id think it would look something like this

But Can-Down is on to something with the Luger. Something about that appeals to me very much.

Boomer,

I'll let Can-down provide the definitive answer becasue he seems to be the expert on this, but you're going to need to post the http://xyz.abc.jpg portion of the address so that members can open the website directly from your post.

Oh, no I didn't miss your post. I was just thinking Beretta.;)

Hmm I do believe my 93-r is a Beretta actually :D

As for the Taurus.. virtually the same gun.. but I prefer the frame safety instead of slide mounted. And the satin stainless I think looks better than the Inox. But hey it's all personal pref :D

I don't think all your pics are showing.

The Taurus is like a Beretta, but until the Brazilians will write Beretta on the slide, it's still a Taurus.
That skeletonized hammer and thicker triggerguard, do take away from it's "Beretta qualities".:)

Well damn.. they were... hmm ok fixing em now :D

And I personally like those added changes as well as a few others they have done. While keeping the same "92" look of course

Now w/fixed links.. pix work again :)
