Reason I ask this is: I`ve been using 55gr V-Max bullets in my 22-250. Just recently the gun store never had any 55`s so I bought 40`s instead and made up 1/2 increment loads. I found what worked the best for groups and I must say: They are way better than the 55grains when it comes to yote killing! I`d like to know what the 35-36grains bullets would be like? Yes I already know that wind plays a factor with the lighter bullets, thus I keep a handful of the 55grains with me just in case.

I use 40gr V max in my CZ550LUX. 40gr Varget and a winchester mag primer.. Shoots under 1" at 100 easy. This load is deadly accurate in not only my CZ but dads Tikka T3. Last year we got many of coyotes with this load.. 50 at least.. and from what i remember there was no pelt damage on any. Just a pin hole entrance and thats it.. no exit. All shots are from 50 to 350-400yards. Never tryed anything smaller. cannot comment on that
