Doesn't that make the RPR a one third ass solution?
Yup, like physical intimacy that’s not too good, but not bad either...

I've been using a Vortex Diamondback Tactical on both my PCP air rifle for practicing in the basement and on my CZ452.
The Diamondback Tactical is great for the air rifle at 10 yards, but I absolutely despise the glass for 22LR distances.
I would strongly recommend that anyone considering the Diamondback Tactical, consider spending more on something better, meaning better glass.
We need really sharp clear glass to spot bullet holes, impacts and spot trace, and the Diamondback Tactical falls below the minimum effective level of clarity.
Here's a link to an optical resolution chart I made where you can print it and compare what you can see clearly with different scopes.
I did this test with the Diamondback Tactical and it is by far the worst glass I have and it will be replaced at the earliest possible convenience.

I’ll take your word for it without owning better optics to compare. Is think most of us Diamondback owners have it because it fits in the production class. Is there a significantly better option for production class?
