Most effective VZ. 58 Muzzle Brake

my akm muzzle brake seems to want to make the rifle shoot up and to the left.

when i take it off i am more on target.

Ya I noticed that too. So far the best bang for the buck I noticed was the marstar one although I settled on the Dlask midevil brake but it cost's alot and also requires some fitting. The only one I havn't tried was the one that suprathepeg sells but I did purchase the one that dlask makes that looks similar and noticed that I was bouncing side to side alot more and making alot of people mad at the firing line due to the bang factor.

#### man for a second there i thought i was the only one having this problom, thought maybe i couldnt shoot.

even tho i was busting targets over 150 m away last summber with no muzzle brake.

i bought both my muzzle brakes from wolverine supplies...i will test the rifle with the other muzzle brake and let you guys know.

With ours I find that the muzzle rise is pretty much neutralized and the barrel is stable side to side. I have no problem shooting 50-300m with it.

Okay okay these are the two I have used

the AKM Style is crap as it makes the bullets/projectiles shot large groupings and to the upper left or upper right depending on the way it was cast. tested at first 100m and at 50 m. at 100m the bullets were not even on target.

as for the Larger Cylendrical Muzzle brake i have not tested it this year.
but it sure makes the rifle louder. i reccomend good hearing protection lol

i will head out in about a week to test it out.

and to the picture.

Well we need an update on muzzle breaks. Anyone do anymore tests? I would like to know the difference in effectiveness between the Rauch break and the Dlask Medieval Break.

Keep 'em comin!

I have an order of the BullDog Brakes coming in a few weeks. the upside to these is that they will be made of stainless (black hard coat anodized) so the typical pitting of the braking surfaces will be much reduced. You'll get a report here from the usual suspects as soon as they arrive.

I'm using the big brake from vz58.net... Recoil reduction is massive. I can actually hold the stock about an inch or two from my shoulder and still make rapid accurate shots.

Wow is all I can say. It seems to be based off a great muzzle break that derived from the ar-15. I don't know too much about it, but I haven't heard anything negative against them.
