Most ergonomic rifles

Had to drag me in to this, didn't ya. :slap: cou: Laugh2

Hopefully with some luck I will be able to remedy it. As to the OP - I'll probably get mocked for this :p - I find the Tikka T3's to fit me very well. It comes to my shoulder very quickly and points nicely.

Only because I know you're going to remedy the situation proving that any rifle can be made ergonomic. Or because you'll cut the stock too short and punch yourself in the schnoz, which would be kinda funny to watch. Who says that learning can't be fun with your friends?

Hahaha. I'm going to be super careful cutting that stock. I was thinking about it today, actually. Learning is lots of fun, and life wouldn't be nearly as fun if your friends didn't poke fun at you!

Best advice I got years ago was to fit a rifle LOP the same way they do for shotguns. Trigger arm palm up elbow bent 90 degrees, rifle but resting against bicep, trigger finger should reach the trigger easy and without needed stretching or strain.

Works for me anyway.

Older Sako AV Deluxe in 7mm RM, damn thing fits me like a glove... Now I know how English Lords feel when they get fitted for their high-priced HH's.

The LOP and drop are just perfect for me and the palm swell makes the grasp feel so natural.

Sako......sako and sako. They are the best feeling to me. I must say AR's feel pretty sweet as well. I love my 94 too. Did i mention sako......they fit like a glove.

The rifles that I like the most to look at aren't necessarily what fits the best. I'll swear up and down that a straight modern classic is what I want, but there is no doubt that that a humpbacked Sako 75, Rem LSS or BDL, or any roll-over cheek-piece Euro piece fits better. Push comes to shove, a Weatherby might just be the best fit of all for bolt guns.

The standard stock dimensions of a Verney Caron double may as well been made for me, but perhaps makeing a rifle fit like a shotgun is too easy.

I would have to say my Ruger Compact Magnum in .338 RCM. It points like a dream. I haven't actually shot it yet, though. I love my Rem 700 CDL with the stock shortened to a 13" LOP in .35 Whelen and ofcourse, my Winchester 71 in .348 WCF. That Redfield peep sight lines up perfectly as soon as my face hits the comb.
