While gopher shooting east of Calgary, (first time in almost 20 yrs)I had an adrenaline rush I could have done without. We were shooting with the the acreage owner's son in law, with permission, all the right stuff. We were almost done for the day when an RCMP car came racing past with lights flashing. My first thought was complaining neighbours, but was assured that they were "cool" and looked up to see him keep going. :) About 5 mins later: we saw the lights coming back chasing a pickup. Pickup pulls up at the end of the lane where we were shooting, cop out of the car, gun drawn, yelling "HANDS UP!!!" Crapped my jordies before realising that he was there for the driver of the truck. I grew up in a small town, shot lots of gophers and never got excited about it. I have NEVER seen a cop pull a gun ever. It got me excited. As soon as the cop holstered his, I cased mine, and watched as he talked to the driver and then let him drive away. Mr Policeman waved at my buddy and I and we carried on. We shot another dozen gophers and then went home. R:d:

Way too much excitement for a Saturday.
Happiest news was the invite to come back anytime to do pest control.:dancingbanana:
