Any suggestions or what would be a good antique for functionality, power and hopefully appreciating value? I'm kinda thinking SAA or maybe a bulldog. Would there be more reasonable options? I've got no issues with reloading, brass forming etc. Also not looking to spend more than 2k or so.

I'm currently having fun with a colt 1877 in 41LC.
Seems like it has decent power. Not a tack driver at 25m. Really small pistol, but it looks like a baby SAA.

Another vote for webley MK 1 or Mk2. I have one shaved for .45 acp and it shoots .45 auto rim very accurately. If you can find a bulldog in .450 or .44 they are also a good choice, though often harder to reload for.
