Most reliable Rimfire pistol

Well I'm going to go the revolver route. I assume when you say 200 to 400 rounds without jamming, you mean without cleaning, and that it may be a mixed bag of ammo. A Ruger Single-Six, or Single-Ten, should go that route pretty easily, for that matter I'd expect a Smith & Wesson Model 17, or Model 617 to go the distance as well.

Only gun that I've sat down and fired hundreds of rounds through at one setting was a new Marlin Model 60 that I was breaking in and sighting in, so I was cleaning the rifle as I went along, and yes I was also getting jams and misfires. Otherwise when I've gone out to fire off a few hundred rounds I've always take a number of guns with me, variety is the spice of life.

I'd agree with the 617 but it's surprisingly ammo sensitive where cheaper ammo cases will swell with heat and bind the cylinder.

My favorite 22 pistols have been a Korth revolver and Sig p210 with 22 conversion . Have shot many many 22 semis and to date the one that stands out as being able to eat anything...Literally any 22 ammo is the CZ Kadet. Not the kit...The kadet itself
They are no longer made but come up for sale on occasion. Many 22 semis are outstanding however more often than not they are fussy about ammo and run flawlessly when fed a steady diet of their favorite fodder. It can be a crap shoot on finding a 22 semi that will digest all ammo flawlessly. It's much less of a crap shoot with the CZ Kadet.

In addition to its stout digestive system it's a sweet shooting pistol and more accurate than most.

I had a Kadet and HATED it. The gun was fine but the mags were a royal pain in the butt. They basically put a .22 magazine INSIDE a 9mm mag. They are hateful to load. It took the fun out of shooting an otherwise good gun. Needless to say I got rid of it and moved on to something that doesn't hurt my fingers after a day at the range.

Just use a loader on my Kadet mags, no problem. The only thing that annoys me a bit is the small purchase when racking the slide, but I think that small mass makes it more reliable to shoot.

Sore fingers from loading 22 mags is almost a disqualifier from shooting. I am not sure I'd be telling fellow shooters this.

Good shooting buddy sold his Kadet and kept the Ruger Mark 3, as the ruger was able to digest any an all ammo. Both the Ruger and Browing BM are famous for being able to eat a lot of varieties of 22lr. and are not expensive to buy, unlike the Kadet

My Ruger Mk II will eat just about anything reliably, except the last two bricks of Winchester Wildcat I bought. Simply garbage. Anything else is fine.
As for sore fingers from loading Ruger .22 mags, you can easily build a simple mag loader in about half an hour that pushes the side button down and allows you to simply drop loaded rounds in the top of the mag. I've made several recently.

My first 22 pistol was a norinco m93. It would shoot anything without jamming. I tried mixing 5 different kinds of ammo in 1 mag just to make it jam...it still wouldn't. That is one of the guns i regret selling.

Buckmark, SW22 Victory or Ruger Mark series. I recently sold my Mark IV and kept my buckmark and SW22. The Mark IV was over priced imho. The trigger was very lacking (when compared to the Buckmark or SW22 Victory) and the rear sight was very sloppy. It ran like crap on Rem Gold however my SW22 and Buckmark will eat it much better. It also did not fit my hand very well. The build quality was fantastic but not my cup of tea.

I usually shoot a couple bricks per week. Go load a brick into cz kadet mags and get back to me. No button to hold the follower down is a deal breaker on a .22 pistol for me.

Years ago I shot my buddies dads Ruger Mrk II on many occasions.
We put 1500-2000 rounds through it one summer before any cleaning was done.
It was fed anything and everything that was on sale at K-Mart, Wallmart or Kesselrings.
We shot many a beer can and even some tanerite type targets back then.
Elmo didnt like the stick on target ;)
No idea what would be available today, but they are still fun regardless what one you buy.

I shouldn't have sold my new volquartsen barreled mark iii with a volquartsen CNC grip frame. Darn was she a beauty amd quality was definitely there. Whoever bought it off of clay at prophet river

I have 3 kadets. Shoot often with my boys. They don't complain but they have tough hands. Do I have you consent to share your posts with some shooting buddies outside this forum? Honestly loading 22 mags without a button is not a deal breaker for most anyone with working hands
