Most versatile choke tube/birdshot combo

What do you think the most versatile choke tube/birdshot combo is? Think of it as you can only have 1 single shot shotgun with 1 choke tube and 1 type of bird shot. I think I'd go with a Modified tube and 7.5 birdshot.

I would say mod choke #6 lead shot, but could use steel with mod tube.

well 7.5 is to smallfor most ducks and stuff i would go with a mod choke and # 5 or 6 shot .DUTCH

Modified choke and and ounce or so of # 6's - good pattern density at all practical ranges, and twice the penetration of 7.5's at 40 yds.
I could also be happy with IC, there is so much variation in the patterns thrown from factory standard choke tubes and different shells that it depends on the gun/tube/load combo. And hardness of shot, how heavy the shot load, how fast it is pushed, etc, etc, etc!

Can't say I can think of any hunting situation where that combo would be effective. May be short range coyotes?

Going away from the tradition here and going to say Patternmaster mid range chjoke tube with number 2 steel....it will do it for all

For small game I use Modified choke tube, & #7-1/2 lead shot.
Works good, & for those shots up in the trees the lead that flies
past the bird looses energy fast,...for safety reasons....

My stock mod choke and 2 steel. Do it all more me means honkers and ducks. 1 honker = 5 grouse in meat!
