I agree, 9mm is very popular, easy to get, it's NATO ammo, it's everywhere.....almost. (you can carry lots too!)

I choose 10mm, as if it was the only round I had, you can load it for plinking or up to killing big mean things.

Law enforcement agencies don't use 9mm, they use 40S&W. At least according to all those lists of what police forces carry.

I chose 9mm, but only because there will probably be more of it around. I would personally prefer the .45 acp. I carry a 9mm everyday on my hip, but I have seldom been impressed with its performance - except for accuracy. I do find that with practice, it can be quite accurate.

Well if you are going to be restricted by law to 10 round magazines anyways... I'll go .45ACP.

When your magazine is restricted like that, you remove one major advantage of the smaller rounds like 9mm.

Why anyone would want to voluntarily carry only 10 rounds of 9mm rather than a harder hitting round like .45 or .40 is a mystery to me.

(Except for small hands or inability to handle recoil, those are good reasons.)

Owning a .40s&w pistol and no ammo , just because that's what the cops shoot wont help much. do you think they will just give you some?

RCMP shoot 9's. I regularly pickup piles of their brass behind them on the range. 9mm, .223 and 12g

2) what round would you want if SHTF?

This is a SHTF poll. I don't think people will be limited to 10 round mags when that happens...
