I am looking at a upper made by Motiuk Mfg, and was wonder what are their experiences with the company?

Its nice to have another Canadian option, and they look good but would like to hear some user input before I buy.

Thanks,

I have one of their lowers that has a custom engraving on it. No issues to speak of (if I had to nit pick I'd say the engraving is a little shallow). Everything fit the way it should. The owner was easy to work with. The colouring of the lower is fine...not sure what else to say...it works.

Thats pretty much the kind of post I was looking for. people saying its just like any other manufacturer with no machining flaws and a solid finish.

Just remember...they're fine compared to most offerings from manufacturers...however, they're not the same as the high end stuff out there (like Vltor, Mega, etc.). Fit/finish on those are superior.

Oh that's fine, Im not expecting an Aston Martin for the price of a Honda. As long as it is on par with other mid range products like Aero Precision, Stag, ect.

Picked up an upper.

Its a pretty clean piece of kit. Very few machining marks that I can see with nice clean edges, Although I did notice some VERY SMALL marks on the rail portion, although these look like handling marks and are most likely isolated to mine and really are not worth noting as I have never had a brand new product without a little bit of marking. Finish is nice as well, A nice even black slightly lighter then my lower, but barely noticeable.. Branding is Subtle as the lettering is not as deep, which may or may not be a good thing, depends on your personal taste.

Customer Service was also excellent, Very nice lady answered the phone and took the order, even offered to see if I wanted to talk to the guys in the shop if I had any Questions.

Overall, Very happy with the purchase. 179.99 is a pretty good price and its Canadian made to top it all off.

Unfortunately, By build is still far from completion so all I can give is a visual review.

So, if you want a decently priced, quality, Canadian made upper I would definitely recommend Motiuk.

just remember that it's hard to produce uppers/lowers in Canada without at least a few tool marks, as we are forced to build them using only handtools whilst working in sub zero temperatures in our igloos.

I should clarify, when I mean "very little" in regard to the machining marks, I mean a streak here or their, you have to look extremely close in order to even see them.

The upper I received is Definitely a quality component.

I am interested in one of their lowers, and was wondering about them. Would love an atrs lower but I cannot afford it. Anything with a maple leaf will do, if all the various accessories will fit on it. Last thing I want to start doing is drilling holes to make things fit. From the sounds of it the upper is pretty good, just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of their lowers.

Just had a look at their website. They seem reasonable priced to get a custom marked lower and matching upper to make a full retard zombie rifle.

No activity here in some time.... Has anyone gotten a chance to fit/fire one of these uppers yet?
They are sold out across the board so I know a few people on here must have one...?

I love mine...thought they did an excellent job on lower and upper...a tiny bit of play, wedge quiets it up real nice.
I hope to buy another some day when they start customs again.
