Just finished putting some rounds downrange on the 5.45x39mm Bolt Action Rifle. This one is based off a savage action, and can shoot 5.45x39mm, 5.56x45mm, and 300blk with only a barrel swap. We may look into doing a rem700 clone in 5.45x39mm. This is just for gauging if there is any interest in a 5.45x39mm rifle.

I was out this weekend and had a chance to fire this rifle and I can say I'm impressed. Motiuks Mfg did an awesome job on the barrel and it's quite accurate.

This will be quite something to see. Of course I'd love to see a production version of the rifle! Totally Wishing you guys success with this product!

We can get 5.45. There is just no need for it right now, since we have practically no gun that can shoot it.

This is a gun that can shoot it. This gun can create a need.

I'm all for it.

Get some surplus in and there will be plenty of demand for a 5.45 rifle.

Keep up the good work you seem to come up with some very cool things:)

How does the 5.45x39 swap out to the 5.56 and 300 BLK with only a barrel change? The case head dimensions on the 5.45 are larger than the other calibers mentioned.

Not sure i would want to fire corrosive surplus 5.45 through that rifle anyway but Tula and Wolf both make pretty cheap 5.45 i would like to see some accuracy results with some cheap Tula ammo , none is listed on their Canadian site for sale but i guess they dont bring it in cause nobody really has rifles chambered in that cartridge ..

6.5 Grendel

Unless I'm mistaken this caliber wold be a natural for this rifle. Keep it around 6 pounds, 20-22 inch tube.
A sub MOA lightweight 6.5 tackdriver would sell, I know I've been thinking of one.

Hmm, 5.45x39 wouldn't be my first choice but I am interested in the possibility of 300 Blackout, especially if you guys could put together some barrels in the 10" ballpark for some handy close range rifles. I've got piles of .223 Rem brass that I could resize, and I'm probably not ever going to shoot at an animal over 150 meters or so, so 300 blackout is a good choice for an interesting cartridge that's not going to require all new components.

Would these be made by Motiuk in house, or farmed out? Controlled Round Feed or Push Feed? What type of magazines would be used, a short and handy 300 blackout gun with 10 round mags would be great fun. What sort of price point and estimated delivery?

I guess we can't edit posts in here, but I suppose there's not enough demand for opening the top of the action to allow for stripper clips, or aftermarket modification to allow for such?

Some options for iron sights would likewise be excellent.

A 7.62x39 16" carbine with 10 round magazine that can be loaded with stripper clips would be awesome but thats a little off topic i guess.
