Mountain goat hunt

nice. the MU that i live in has a fairly tough odds draw for goat, but i have been drawn in other areas before. it is an interesting hunt, great excuse to get into the high country.

congrats.

Well I'm pretty sure a story of the hunt will be printed in the November edition of Alberta Outdoorman magazine, if you can get a hold of a copy.

And any questions you have on this hunt I'd be happy to answer!

That hunt is right up there with anything in this world for sure.... Did you have to use a guide to pack you in? How much $$ would you say had to be invested in the whole hunt?

B4 I apply I want to see if I can even afford it... It just looks so exotic.

GOOD JOB ROCKS

I have my own horses, and live right beside the Willmore, so the trip was fairly cheap for me and my brother, just groceries, and the time off to do it.

Not sure how much it would cost to hire a packer to take you out on horses, I think the rate is about $300/day/person for the time he is on the trail.

So jpw much would YOU charge me next year when i get drawn, :D.

Awesome story, and great photography too. Gives me hope, i will keep putting in every year and just hope i can get drawn and make it all happen.

Congratulations that is an awesome animal...

I am totally surprised that there are only 8 draws for all of Alberta though.

I'm never moving out of BC...
