Been going for about 10 years. Success rates are high. I would say 80-90% for most goat hunters in decent shape. They're a lot easier to get close to than you'd think. The best places to look are areas with feed water in close proximity to cliffs. I find that combing over the cliff faces mid day will often yield chances to judge an animal as close as bow range before it has a chance to see you. They tend to move around a lot when they aren't bedded down so always be watching you're in a well traveled area. Try to get above them as they often will give you a little bit of time if they're in a safe spot and spend a lot of time learning the characteristics of billys/nannys before you hunt. It can be a lot more difficult than you'd sometimes expect. Lightweight and compact gear is a must and I wouldn't even think about going solo to some of the awful places I've hunted goat

Was just on Kodiak bear hunting and we saw a lot of goats. I am far from an expert but was told that Kodiak offers the "easiest" goat hunting around although I was also told the trophy quality typically is not as good as other places one could go.

The goats on Kodiak were introduced, so who knows what influence the founding stock has on their potential size.

In Douglas' defence, he didn't specify what he wants to give her..... Lol.....

Also, he needs glasses and may not have used them..... I unfortunately have an attraction to soulless gingers, so can empathize.... But my eyesight is 20/20.......

Angus is right, she will be trouble....... But all souless gingers are.....

She looks like the girl from "30 Helens agree"
