Any have any experience with the kimber mountain acent
I have a Mountain Ascent chambered in 270 win. The bare rifle weighs 5lb 3oz. Control round feed, 3 position safety and adjustable trigger. It also has a 24" barrel which I prefer. It's accurate with several bullets. I never had any trouble finding a load for it. I don't think you'll find anything better to pack around all day. Out of all the factory rifle's , it would be my choice if I was going on a sheep or goat hunt. I,m using 130 gr ttsx at 3100 fps, for Mule deer.

Where did you get it I can't seem to find them

I use a Tikka T3 lite .300wsm with a Vortex Viper PST 6x24-50mm scope for my sheep hunting trips. Its super light weight, shoots flat as can be and will kill anything I may encounter. It also has a ton of knock down power for those longer shots.

I got it at River Sportsmen, in Campbell River, here on Van Island. I got it before our dollar dropped and even then it was at a good price. I'm not sure if they still have any. I paid $1930 + tax. Grouse River Sports in Kelowna stocks them but you will pay a lot more for one. The last time I checked their website they were $2900. Keep looking, I think you will find a better deal. Also keep an eye on the EE on this site.

Canadian Tire in Rocky Mountain House have a few. I know they have a .270WSM and .280AI for sure.

They also have Kimber Hunters in 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, and .308.

Jay is the weekend Hunting Pro staff working there. Great guy and should be able to help you if interested.

Using Nosler E-Tip bullets: 150gr 300 Win. Mag. @ 3400 fps vs. 120gr 6.5-300 Wby @ 3500 fps. Trajectories are about the same out to 500 yds, the 300 WM has more downrange energy and burns about 15% less powder. Plus it can be loaded with heavier bullets. Always did think it's a good design.
