Watching Mountain men ( ya I know ) the guy that has the dogs and chases lions has a holster that places the gun on his chest. Who make this where do I get one?

I don't know who made that particular one but ''The Guides Choice Chest Holster by Diamond D Custom Leather'' is apparently a good one.
OK

Is this a range friendly carry or mirror posing type holster? I've always thought chest carry to be 2nd best to strong hand(as far as speed of draw) but I've also considered this type of holster if I can actually use it. It certainly is a more "secure" way to carry IMHO.

I don't think its either a range or mirror holster, IMO...look where the OP lives.:)

Mirror posing? In Pounder's case, most definitely not.

I got mine from Cochise leather and I love it.

bellero, I may be wrong but I think yours is more of a shoulder holster while the guide's choice is really a chest holster, whith more adjustments (height and tilting) and to be able to wear over thick clothing. When people have polar bears in their avatar, that's
what they need.
Sorry if I'm wrong.
OK

I have have not seen the show you are talking about but this might work for you:

I don't own one but they have great reviews, hope that helps

Thanks guys the Hill people gear looks nice but I think that would be concealed carry,my carry permit says open carry only. The Diamond D looks like what I want. The Redhawk is a pig of a gun to carry on your hip,and is always in the way.

I suggest that you also check-out 7X Leather down in Ennis, Montana.

Wes does great work (I have some of his stuff) and is especially proud of his chest holster. He also made minor mods (tweaking the angles) to my items ... at no cost.

OK

Especially when the Polar Bear in question appears to be sizing up their bumper as a possible snack :runaway:

So much for endangered.

Well I did not know there were that many, I still think the Diamond D is the one. The sidearm is for the and then he was there moments, although it holds 6 rnds. it's still 5 for him and 1 for me.

You're definitely in Canada when you carry a gun for protection - from critters. We (Canada) must have the best critters anywhere - I know India has Tigers, and Africa has Lions, but the sheer range of furry things that can turn you into lunch in this country is amazing. Bears (Polar, Grolar, Grizzly, Black) Cats (Cougar) even the weasels (Wolverine) here will try. Pretty amazing.
