Mounted In Alaska on Discovery

Bad taxidermy can be fun to look at, too. You see some incredible stuff, real animals stuffed and mounted in ways that make you think, "Nah, that thing was never a real, live critter."

I caught the end of the show and saw that, too. At first I thought it was some kind of a joke, the head looked all wrong.

Senegal lions have distinct features, maneless being one of them (though the lion on the show did have one, albight sparser than a stereotypical lion mane). Apparently this was one of these lions.

I didn't know that but that's not what I mean. ;)

The shape of the forehead/face just seemed wrong - like it was flattened. Seriously, my immediate reaction when they rolled it out the doors was 'WTF?'.

I agree, I caught the end of that show also and was shocked that the guy who shot it liked the mount. I wouldn't have paid for that if I was him.

Crap, now i have to clean more coffee off the key board. Superbrad you better hope mommy Palin dosen`t get wind of that comment or she`ll hunt you down.:D
