Mounting 3-9x40 on Browning A-Bolt

I need to know what height rings I need for mounting a bushnell elite 3-9x40 on an older stainless A-Bolt? I purchased the rifle from a member but don't have it yet. I have Burris bases so thinking of using universal Burris Signature rings, but they only come in medium or high. Should I use something else that would mount the scope lower...maybe Talley one piece lightweight LOW rings?
Let me know what you did if you have the same set up.

I just mounted an 50mm to a Browning Tbolt, and used tally highs. You could get away with the medium when using a 40mm.

I have a 40mm scope on my A-Bolt with medium rings. Works fine.

Where can I purchase the "Burris Universal Signature Rings" medium height? I'm in the GTA today and hit a bunch of stores but nobody has them, I could only find the zee rings. I need the ones that fit the universal Burris bases with front dovetail and rear base with windage adjustment screws. Is Cabelas the only place to order these in Canada? Anyone in Ontario sell these?

So I ordered the rings from Cabelas for $55 + tax&shipping. Now I have the gun to find out that Burris trumount universal bases don't fit the contour of the Browning A-Bolt (it doesn't sit flush). Anyone know what bases I need to make these rings work on my gun?
