Hi !
I have read that nice sticky thread about changing barrel - well written !!! Anyway, I have some thoughts about my projekt.
I have a Norinco and have a GI-TRW bolt in it. It took some work to bolt lapp it to proper headspace but now it works fine (2-3000 rounds) and the rifle shoots well. I have the original barrel on the rifle.
I want this rifle to shoot real tight and have bought a Barnett heavy barrel to do the job. It is a old barrel from the 80:s, never used. I will receive it this or next week.
Plan to use a pull through reamer from Midway, also bought a barrel vise.
Do you think that I can use only that reamer to cut that unfinished chamber? Or do I need another reamer first? The rifle as it is now has a tight headspace and it just closes on the go-308w gauge.
I don´t have any other bolt or barrel to try either.
I´m a newbie about barrel works so I need all help I can get. I think this forum is the place. Many thanks in advance.
