Hey Nutz,

I have a DA SOCOM 18 and I'm thinking of putting a small rail on it for a light. I found a few options online, but none are for synthetic stocks. What's out there that would fit the bill?

Thanks.

I did this to my socom 18 and it was pretty simple. I just bubba'd it up by drilling some holes in the stock and running some small hex bolts with lock nuts on the other side. There was plenty of clearance from the barrel and it worked good.

I did the same thing, I have a USGI stock on mine though, didnt have quite enough clearance so had to dremel it down a little. but works fine

I just found a section of rail with hex screws and backing plates that I had used on my AR...completely forgot I had it :dancingbanana:

So, to install it, I'm guessing that the rivets holding the swivel in place need to be drilled out, then new holes drilled for the rail screws.

if you dont want to drill new hole into the stoc, treelinem14 sells sadlak railed replacements for the existing holes
