Hey Guys,

I'm looking to mount a scope on my old Cooey Model 60 .22 and was wondering what side mount and rings would be the best setup for this rifle.
There are no pre-drilled holes in the receiver, and I will have to take the gun to a gun smith and have them drill and tap it.

Thanks

The side mount and rings arent the best imo. The rings are those locking ones that twist when you tighten the screws.
I don't know about a top mount rail for the cooey since it's bolt action. However imo having a top rail like the bolt action savages have would be ideal.

The side mount on my 39 has been there for well over 50 years and is perfect. It has never given me any trouble and with the old 4X Weaver is still more accurate than my 10/22.

I was looking at purchasing something like the following two examples. No sure what rings would work with the second mount, maybe some side mount rings but I don't see them on the Cabelas site. Also, I just purchased the following scope for the rifle that was on sale at Canadian Tire.
