mounting a scope???

Do i need both rings and a base to mount a nikon scope onto a remington model 700???

yes need both if you puschase all at a gun shop they will usually do for free or a min charge

Yep..spend the money to have a pro do it. They have the gun smith tools that won't strip any screws. Don't forget to ask them to blue lock-tite the threads.
