After much delibertation, and reading the experiences of other guys on this board, I decided to go with the Aimpoint Micro T1 for my Swiss Arms.
My question for anyone that uses this sight or any of the similar ones: Do you mount yours forward or back, and why?
I took mine out for the first time with this optic set up and sighted it in for 75 yards. Seems to work really well. I can use the optic or the irons with this set up without having to adjust anything - and it is not just lower 1/3 co-witness, it seems to co-witnesses generally depending on what distance you are shooting and where your head is (whether using a proper cheekweld or not).
Anyway, just interested to hear other people's experiences. I know these are "two eyes open" sights - does forward mounting assist in that regard at all?
Some more "nasty rifle" ####:
Swiss Arms PE90 Classic Green Carbine (14.3" barrel) with Kyle rail and T1 Micro
CMMG 14.5" milspec AR with 3x ACOG Compact
CZ858-4v "woody" (15" barrel)
RRA 7" 9mm AR pistol with EOtech and Midwest flip up sights
Love all these rifles in their own way. I want something in .308 now though!
