Mounting Cadex grip on Colt Canada SA20

Hey all,

I recently picked up a CC SA20, and for the authentic Canadian build I grabbed a Cadex folding grip for it. I am looking for a bolt on rail to make use of the stock hand guards, however I have heard the Cadex pic rails will only mount farther out towards the muzzle? I would like to mount the grip closer to the receiver. I figured I would ask before I order the wrong part.

Cadex rail mounts in the handguard holes... So it will go as far as the last hole.

There's a 6 and 4 inch set from cadex. I used the 6 without issues and there's pretty much only one way to mount it. 6 inches is enough room to find comfort.

Oh okay, so with the cadet rail you can mount it to any of the holes in the hand guard? not just near the front?

If you want to mount it closer to the rear, you may have to remove and/or bend the heatshield slightly to accommodate the nuts that the rail mounts to.
