Mounting front sight on vented rib barrel

Hello everyone, I'm looking at mounting a front sight on vented rib barrel. Gun is an 870 and barrel will be cut from 28 to 20 inches. This won't be a bead sight but a rifle type sight. Just wondering what people recommend using and what problems to look out for if any. Any and all pictures posted appreciated.

drill and tap the rib for a bead. If you find that is not visible enough use an XS big dot over the bead.

I'd think it might be your best option if you want sights other than just a bead...

Thanks guys. I was hoping to put a rifle type sight on the front. Butting that up against the closest post. Not sure how it would look or if it can even be done properly.

how about wilson combat "trak lock" sights? Ive seen pics of that sight mounted on a vent rib and it looked pretty good.

Just screwed these on.
Williams Fire Sights
With a little luck and Loctite they will stay on .
