Mounting holes off centre. Big problems?

Well I guess ill see what happens when I get the base mounted. If it is in fact out and its not just my eyes that are out, then it will be on it's way back to Remington. I just hope i don't hear the dreaded "its within manufacturing spec"

A few thou off, is less than the clearance in the base hole. Might not be anything to even get excited about. At the very most all you may have to do is shave a few thou off the offending base hole.

By the way, I've also had bases where the holes weren't square either.
