I was wondering if I should put loktite in my mounting ring screws?

If I was to bring it to a gunsmith is that what he would do?

I mounted it and zeroed it but when I brought it home I noticed the scope tube moved in the rings, so I tightened the screws as hard as I could and bore sighted it again, when I went to the range last week and zeroed it in again it seemed fine.

It's a Sako 30-06 with the Sako mounts and rings.

the first time I went I put over 60 rounds through it, the second time only 30.
I'm wondering if it was the amount of rounds the first time but you'd think it should not matter how many rounds you put through it should never move.

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

You should only use loctite to mount the bases... not the scope rings...

Not sure if you have a torque wrench to measure but the screws on the rings should be 15 inch pounds.... just tightening them firmly and evenly should be ok for your average scope though....
