Mounting QD connections on a Ruger 10/22 carbine?

I have a set of studs which take the QD sling D rings. I want to use a light weight sling which can be easily put on or taken off.

Any thoughts on mounting with the wood screw stud in the toe of the butt and using the stud with the nut for the fore end?

Haha, well good luck with it... I suspect it might be OK, but I would probably drill a pilot hole and use a relatively long wood screw. I don't know how much you're going to be yanking on the sling, but it wouldn't be too good if the screw fell out while you're trying to pull the rifle from your shoulder.
