Mounting Scope On An Older Parker Hale

I like that gun just the way it is. I would have to look at the bore and other things to make a long term commitment though. It is a hunting rifle on a solid platform in a formidable calibre made in Canada, what's not to like.

Yes. The rifle does in deed mean a lot to me as it has been passed down in the family for a couple of generations already. It is in very good shape, and probably had 40 shells through it since it came new.

Just for fun invest in a Lee Loader in .303 and some components re loader 15 powder or IMR 3031 some 174 grain rounds noses and if you can find it PRVI brass. That list with your rifle is all an average guy (like me) would ever need to hunt in Canada. Enjoy that rifle.

Thanks for the tip. Funny, as I was looking a couple weeks ago at the Lee Loader just to have. Are those easy to use, as I am assuming you have or do use them?

The Lee Loader is very simple to use and it is very economical to purchase. I use the Le Loader to load for my Lee Enfield it neck sizes only which allows several loadings of the same cartridge and minimizes case stretch. It is technical to explain but using a Lee Loader is ideal for the Lee Enfield.
