I'm not sure if they are the way to go, but they are very solid(as long as you don't over file the prongs at the front of the cover). I've got mine fitting very tight. There is no movement at all, so considering this there should be no movement. It should not have any trouble holding zero. I also bedded my action. A solid mount means diddly squat if there is movement between the action and stock. Just keep in mind that these type of mounts do require some filing to fit the actual rifle. They are made oversize due to varying tolerances of these rifles.
