Uncle Mikes makes a set that uses the front barrel band as a mounting point. The rear one I mounted in 1 1/2" from the buttplate. I found that increasing the bit size 1/64" over what the instructions recommend was perfect. I highly recommend you use a drill press not your hand drill if you have access to one, and make a small punch mark in the stock to guide the bit start.
