Question for those with more experience...I am mounting a new Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42 on my Weatherby Mark V 7mm mag. I purchased the Tally 1" one piece mounts specific for my rifle, mounted properly but are slightly too low (H2 height) as they barely pinch my scope. They are listed as medium height and I don't think they make a "high" base set for this rifle.
I have been trying to figure out which is best option between weaver bases to elevate or the Tally picatinny rail system?. Does anyone have feedback and/or experience with the Weatherby mounting process to elevate?

Thanks for any helpful feedback

That’s kind of an odd pairing.

I’m a bit confused here. What do you mean they “barely pinch your scope?” What does that have to do with ring height?

The Talley lightweight mediums should work fine. I suspect something is amiss.

If you want the high versions it’s sku# 950705 and extra high is sku # 960705 assuming your rifle has 9 lugs. It should have a 54 degree bolt lift and I’m left questioning what the issue is.

No offence intended whatsoever, but you might consider taking this one in to be installed professionally.

If your rifle has 6 lugs I can give you the sku #s for those as well.

Thanks for the feedback Alberta Boy. No offense taken as I didn't describe the situation very well. When mounted with the Medium Tallys, the power ring pinched on to the receiver just enough to restrict turning it freely. I have ordered the high versions that you mentioned above, which should work well. I had googled Tally high rings for my calibre and nothing came up, but when I used the sku you provided, they came up right away
Thanks again and hope to get this package dialed in soon.
