Tried this in the "antiques" forum, but to no avail. Hopefully "milsurp" can help!

Okay, I once bought a "sporterized-to-hell" Chilean Mauser carbine..:yingyang:..and then discovered it was part of a 2,000 ZAR manufacturing run  . Nice history and all, but it was really sporterized: and drilled-and-tapped as well....

I figure that it's good & truly too far beyond restoration :( , and so I'm looking to actually put scope-mounts over the places where it's been drilled-and-tapped (please don't hate! b:)...but I don't know which mounts would work on it...

Any advice as to the type of mounts? Thanks in advance.

I just did a quick search, and found 2 different styles available on fleabay. There is a one piece, and a two piece. You'll want to measure your current holes to see which aligns, or d n' t some more.

Use "Small ring Mauser" in your search, and it'll go easier.

EDIT:
Although the rifle is a 'surp, you actually want 'smith advice. (It's not my place to say it though)
