Mounts for m-14 types

I am interested in mounts for my m-14 type. Could someone give me availability and costs for the following and where can I get them:

ARMS 18

Springfield Armory Generation 3

Springfield Armory Forward Scout Mount (Mounts over/around/cut handguard)

Any help? Thanks

Another high quality mount for the M-14 is made by Smith Enterprise, Inc. I'm not sure if any dealers in Canada sell them, but I've seen a few used ones for sale recently on the EE.

From what I've read on this board from the resident M-14 gurus (who are a hell of a lot more knowledgeable than yours truly :D), the ARMS and the Smith mounts are top quality. Here's a link to the M-14 scope mount thread Ardent mentioned.

Rooster33, a member of this board, also sells his own forward scout mounts. You might want to try a search for his posts for more info on them.

Why do you feel the need to slag the guy. If you don't like his service, go elsewhere. Laszlo builds a great product. What have you contributed to the shooting world lately?

Sorry but the shot it justified... There are issues with communication with lazlo... I personally have tried calling and emailing and did go elsewhere...

If you don't like the service the forum is the place to voice it.. Otherwise we'd end up with a bunch of lousy vendors...

Other than letting anyone who'd like to try shooting shoot for free, not much I guess. It's just plain rude if a customer take the time and expense to call half way across canada and leave a message and you can't be bothered calling or e-mailing back, even just 4 words saying sorry I'm busy. I wasn't rude, nor do I disparge his workmanship, he makes beautiful stuff, but it's obviously a sideline, and his actions tell me (and others) that customers are not a priority. If he proves me wrong, I'll come right back here, hold up my hand and admit the error of my ways....

I think theres a thread open elswhere for people to share their customer service experience. It's not fair if every thread that comes up on M 14's becomes a whine-fest. Theres a time and place for everything. I don't think that was a fair answer to a question of where to get parts.

For the record.....R33 doesn't have a computer right now.
I talked to him today, he has product........but this is a side line business for him, he's also a parent of an infant......he's busy. I did inform him that he is being .........looked for.

It was a perfectly legitimate answer. He suggested and I warned of my bad experiance. I didn't bring it up, but as I know kestral somewhat I thought it only fair to warn him, and it's pertinant to any who are looking so I posted rather than PM'd. Im sure Laslo (I don't know how you spell it, no disrespect intended) is a super guy, and I've heard that from others. I said earlier that the gear of his that I've seen is top notch. But he advertises it for sale, dosen't reply to e-mail (ok, his box is dead, thats fair, but that could be mentioned on the site, its been a bit now..) and he dosen't reply to phone messages or answer the phone during business hours. So what do you want me to say? If he called me back today I'd order the two cheek pieces and a forward scope mount off him, and take my chances on delivery (see other threads, but I'll wait for him, as mentioned he's busy and I'm not in a hurry)
I take it you've had really good experiances with him and I'm happy for you, but you do seem to be in the minority, don't you?

I think C&L's initial comment was fair, and had Mark K not kept bringing it up it would have been the last we'd have heard about it.

After being made aware of R-33's customer service, Kestrel could have searched out the thread(s), or asked for additional info.

Hey Guys;

The Rooster33 product is very well made and solid, and people do get their stuff eventually. It took me 2 months and 2 days and several phone calls to get 2 of his scout scope mounts. Not ideal if your in a rush...

Also, IMHO guys, I don't think that it's fair to say "Have a look around in the threads..." Most of the threads regarding Rooster33 and negative feedback get locked or deleted.

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Here is a pic of my M14 with the R33 scout mount... Both my wife and I are very happy with the setupd, it holds zero and you can VERY quickly acquire the target.
