I just got off the phone with Movie Arms and they are no longer doing their warranty services. Instead, all rifles are being sent to North Sylva and having the warranty services done there.

If your rifle is at Movie Arms now, they are shipping them up to North Sylva and they will be doing the warranty. Mine was sent today.

Just thought I'd let you guys know.

So is this good or bad? Possibly better service at North Sylva? Too bad they can't fix these problems at the manufacturing level, reading about the same issues for a few years now.

Hope this is for the better. Maybe the CZ958's will come out soon and be a better choice, time will tell.

Huh, that's good to know!

The fellow on the phone said that there is a new guy a North Sylva doing the warranty, so it should be fast. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Mine is a 2013 model, I read that it was the problematic year. Mine was over gassed and has a possible soft receiver (the guy told me that, that is likely the issue).

Where is north sylva ? Can I walk in and give them my rifle like I was intending on doing with movie arms. ?

Yeah, because a backlog of paid work is always bad for a company.

It was humor.

The joke revolved around the number of rifles CSA ####ed up. Not the actual costs of the whole repair process.

Of course CSA is paying this subcontractor to do the work but analyzing their contractual relations is beside the joke i wanted to make.

Pretty sad i have to explain a joke that obvious.

They should just replace the messed up firearms with new ones...

And yes that would be the fair thing to instead of making people wait months for something they paid now and was supposed to work now. Not in months.

If I remember correctly, on the opposite side of where it says your serial number; it should have a "CSA" stamp and two digits beside it. The two digits are when it was made.

I'm not sure if they are all the same, but that's what it was like on mine.

Its actually the Czech code of arms. It appears on all Czech made guns as well as the year of manufacturing.

The csa guns that NS had made are a sh+t shoW , and the 556 guns should all be sent to the crusher.
There has been no less then 5 different gunsmiths that have had the contract.
I know 2 of the shops, bothof then said never again.
Taking in back is house is the only option.
