So I will be moving from Newfoundland to Hamilton Ontario November 1st. I am wondering what hunting opportunities there are? How far will I have to drive for say a duck hunt? Goose? Deer? Turkey? What other options are there? What is preditor hunting like? How receptive are farmers to people hunting their land? Just looking for some general info on what to expect! I lived in Ottawa for a year. And I did more hunting/fishing/shooting in that year than 5 years in newfoundland. I don't think it will be quite as easy in Hamilton but hopefully I'll still be able to get hunting!

All 4 of the game you mention can be legally hunted in WMU87D along with Coyote, fox rabbit.

Send me a PM I'll tell you exactly where and where to park.

Look on a map of the area, it is 20 minutes from the intersection of hwy 5 and hwy 6, commonly known in the area as Clappisons Corners.

I don't live in ON any longer so will give out the info.

My daughter has a 70 acre farm in Simcoe, 45 min from Hamilton Airport, I'll be traveling there in the fall to help harvest deer.
There's more deer in southern ON ( Norfolk, Tillsonburg etc), these days than Central ON

A picture my daughter sent last week to tease me.
