Hey folks, Im moving to revelstoke within the next week and im curious if anyone has some good info, hunting, fishing, gun ranges? etc..... the place looks like a goldmine and im hopefully gonna be a miner:D Is anyone else on here from there?

Your lucky. I have driven to BC from Ontario and the place I liked the most was revelstoke. A nice little valley surround by rocky mountains.

Have fun and good luck

If you move there, you gotta buy yourself a mountain sled. If I ever move to B.C. its the first thing im buying, then a house! You gotta have your priorities in line! BC powder, here I come!

If you like Hunting, Fishing, Skiing, Sledding, then Revelstoke will be right up you alley.

All of the above is prime time there, Bears are real friendly as well. Oh yeah,,, Snow, I forgot to mention the snow,,, there is lots of that as well.

I don't know about shooting ranges there I know there is one but not where and what kind of distance. Some of the guys from there will drive to Kamloops and use teh Kamloops Target Shooting Assoc 500m range cause its the longest around but that is about 3hrs driving for you.

I'm in the area, pm me for more info.

Dereck. You can't mean your not coming back to Port! LOL. Good luck out there. Still have a cold one waiting for you next time your down. take care bro!

Do some scouting and find where the moose are that area has some of the best seasons and success is very good.

There are no moose here anymore, we shot them all to save the caribou. Best moose seasons are up north in Fort St. John.

We've taken a few moose out of Revelstoke, apparently the mulie hunting can be awesome. Some bigguns have been taken out of there, I talked to a guy last year who took a 250"+ mulie out of there a few years ago, yes 250"+mulie not a miss print.

FYI Revelstoke has STEEP and BIG mountains most of the hunters use Caulk Boots to walk around to prevent breaking there necks.

Best boots going for this country, if there's not too much rock around. Also not good for road walking. I prefer the Viking rubbers with the top cut off. They really save your energy, and really shine in late Oct.-Nov. They do take getting used to though for beginners.
