Great! I'm sure glad my dad made me get one when I was a kid for trapping weasels. He said if I wanted to do it I had to do it by the book.
Just goes to show, dad is usually right!

What stops someone from just walking in and claiming to have had one before if they don't need any proof?

Hey, Toban.
Pm me and I will give you the run down on it, I spent sometime talking to the head CO's in wpg. This is all by the book and just takes sometime.
So where did you move to? in the country?

Nothing at all!

Hope you don't mind me putting in my 2 cents here as I am new. I live in a small community in which I can walk out my door and hunt moose, ducks and ptarmigan in about 2 minutes. I commute an hour each way to work and it is expensive with the gas prices and the wear and tear on the truck. My commute though is all highway with no traffic. Is it worth it? For me it is as I cannot live in a city. I have worked in Vancouver, Halifax, St. John's and Montreal. Never again. Its all a matter of what your priorities are. My priority is for easy access to hunting shooting and fishing. If it wasn't for my wife and child I would live in the bush.
Regards
Gord
