Mowery Gunworks

Howdy.
I have been asked to sell a rifle for an old friend, a retired gun collecter.
Although I know a bit about the rifle, I have never seen one at any matches I have attened in over 25 years!!

The rifle is a Mowery Gunnworks Allen and Thurber replica ( not thhe carbine)
It is a a well made rifle, but I would like to learn a little more about it if I could.
The forend is brass, as is the bulltplate.
My friend has never fired it either, so cannot comment on it, unfortunetly!
Anybody got any info?

Started by Mowrey in Texas and upon his death the name was sold. Thunder Ridge sells parts, no website for Mowrey Guns. All of the rifles I have seen have been well made and well loved by their owners. With their looks they are an acquired taste. I have only seen 54 and 50 cal. rifles. I did have a photo of every model they made but in a fit of house keeping it was deleted, darn! Cat could you post photos?
