Has ahyone actually ever fired this model of firearm, how is it ergonomically? I know that Kalishnikov based his ak-47 on this design. I have found the AKM to be very unergonomic and designed for dwarfs.

Handled one, never fired.

Heavy. Select fire and 30 rnd mag probably made up for that. Ergonomicaly it was ok. Everything where it should be. I have fairly long arms, and it shouldered ok for me.

I have. It is heavy, has a small bullet. You will find this one to be short too. These rifles including the M16 were designed to have short stocks. Now they put collapsing stocks on the M16s because people seem to think they are too tall and that the rifles were designed for dwarfs. WHere the real answer is that the rifles were designed for combat usage, which means that it is carried 99.9 percent of the time, and fired maybe .001 percent of the time. Also it has that terrible separate safety selector setup that is found on the vast majority of firearms. the mag release is also on the wrong side because you are supposed to place your empty mag back in its pouch and not drop it on the ground. And no the AK is not based on this design. Schmiesser worked(forced) at Izhmash untill 1951 or 52. Wait untill Kalashnikov is dead to read the full developement of the AK. All the little things like bolt hold open devices are not on this rifles because they are detrimental in combat situations.

I don't see a single MP43/1 in there but please point it out,.
Look in the top picture. At the far right are the two Mkb42's as #1 and #2. Continue counting from right to left, #3 and #4 are MP43's (or up). #5 looks to be an Mp43/1 (based on the barrel). Would be nice to see the rear sight on it, that would confirm or refute my claim that it is an MP43/1.

That is just the way the light is reflecting off the bbl. in other pictures you can see the step. also the front site is just a standard 43/44 site. The rear site base really means nothing as the 43/1 had several styles including the standard style. If you look at the other pictures you can see that it is a normal bbl. The only real way to tell would be to actually look at what is stamped on the receiver. Some MP43/1's also used MKb receivers.

me want....

x2...BAAAAADDDD!!!!(almost bad enough to move somewhere I can, but not quite)

I'm 5'10 and in the little time I spent shooting AK's, really enjoyed the feeling and ergonomics. Mind you, I haven't spent a whole lot of time around black rifles, and never in a combat situation, but there has got to be more than 1 reason they are the world's most popular small arm...
