I have a Russian MP-446 Viking 9mm handgun and would really appeciate some help with a full disassembly.

The manual from Baikal Inc web site does not help much since it seems to be for a slightly different (newer? mine is 2003) model:

Page 31: "3) remove the support 17 from the frame;" - the thing is, when I remove the "frame cover (9)" - the "support" won't come out. There seems to be an additional metal frame (which is not in the manual) holding the hammer spring. It looks like the frame is held by a pin in a grip, but this pin won't come out. (Tried with a reasonable force)

Page 31: "6) lift the front of the base 18 and remove it forward from the frame;" - the base won't come out either. Again - tried with a reasonable force (every other gun I worked with required much less force to come apart).

Here is a grip base. Red circle marks the pin that is not in the manual:

And here is a shot of the metal frame with the hammer's spring and sear:

Did anyone succesfully disassembled this particular model of Viking and can give me any pointers on how to proceed?

Man, you should have said you speak Russian! I tried to search guns.ru & found your post there. :D

Looks like they couldn't help either, sorry... Really, as the guy asked, why full disassembly?

How do you like that Viking, anyway?

Well, hopefully someone will come up with some advice either here or on guns.ru. Someone bound to have disassembled it before. At least I hope so. :)

Can't ehlp you much, this is as far as I've gone...

I would assume that the pin goes out from L => R...

If you ever lose/break springs/firing pin and the likes, let me know... I somehow ended up with some spare parts.

Safe shooting,

Yep, finally got it.

If anyone ever needs to do the same: Keep pressing on the pin/cap on the end of the hammer spring after you've removed the plastic cap. The pin from the grip can only be removed while the hammer spring's pin/cap is depressed. Remove the pin (the hammer spring won't come out yet, its still held in place by this yellowish frame). After that is it just like in the instruction manual - when the second pin (from the trigger guard) is removed the whole assembly will just slide out from the plastic frame.
