MP40 mags

Not sure if this is the right forum for this....
Does anyone know if original MP40 9mm mags will fit and function in the GSG MP40 9mm rifle? I have read that the GSG mags do not fit and function in an original MP 40, so I am not holding my breath. But would Ike to confirm for sure.

wont work, also gsg has bho, the original do not.
