Germany - The Bundeswehr has begun to procure the MP7 in high numbers, after it has been used extensively by the German special forces unit Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK). German soldiers in Afghanistan are now using the MP7 on patrol in Kabul.[5] The MP7 is also a part of Germany's Infantryman of the future project. The GSG 9 of the German Federal Police also uses the MP7.

Indonesia - Detasemen Jala Mengkara (Denjaka), the special forces of Indonesian Marine Corps adopted MP7 for use within this organization.

Italy - Italian Gruppo di Intervento Speciale special operations group of the Carabinieri, Aeronautica Militare for the RIAM Special Forces group.

Ireland - The MP7 will replace the Uzi in service with the Garda Síochána (police) Emergency Response Unit.

Malaysia - In 2007, The Royal Malaysian Police also acquired the MP7 for use by the Pasukan Gerakan Khas special force unit.

Norway - The MP7 is set to replace the MP5 in the Norwegian Defence Force. The deal for 6500 MP7s, which also included the purchase of 8200 HK416, was signed on May 31st. Delivery is expected in the first half of 2008.[6]

Quote from Questar

I've been travelling all day and only now got to check emails... and this thread.

It looks like there are a few people willing to pay $2,000 per gun. I've already had an offer from someone to import and retail the ammo if a "deal" occurs. This would resolve the ammo issue.

All I can do is collect names of interested persons and if I get enough then make an "offer" on the guns... if they take it then everyone will have a deal and we'll ask for deposit to firm order, balance when guns are in our hands and ready to ship and transfer.

The guns are in Canada so no importation required.

If you want to be put on the list then please send you name (not your user name but your actual name) in a regular email to: Sales@Questar.ca

We'll keep this list of buyers separate and if we get enough buyers then we'll try to get them at the pricing everyone is asking for. That's all we can do.

My name is in there somewhere. 2k is a good deal for a used MP7 that may never get imported again.

damn, it's like having no change left in the pocket when the screen is counting down from 10, 'please insert coin(s)' it'd make a cool toy as a sidearm.

Update

We have had well over 30 people express their interest and willingness to purchase one of these firearms. Most have indicated that their price range is $2,000 to $2,500.

We are in the process of trying to finalize purchase arrangements now... however, this price range is less than what the seller was originally expecting so I'm still not sure if a "deal" can/will be made. I hope to know quite soon and once I do we will be contacting everyone who sent us their email (not PM's) asking to be put on the list. The email list is time/date stamped so we know the order in which requests were received.

H&K MP7's (commercial semi-auto versions) are listed in the FRT as "Restricted Firearms". They don't actually state handgund or rifle, but instead are shown as "Commercial Version" which is typically what happens with something that is in fact an SMG and has a "semi-auto" version offered, which gets classified as "Restricted". For all purposes this would be considered a "rifle" and subject to 5 round magazine capacity limits.

We did get a serious offer from another dealer to handle the import and sale of ammunition for these firearms, as well as spare magazines. He is working on that paperwork now. If the "deal" for the guns goes through as planned, then we will post that dealer's name so buyers can contact him directly for their ammunition and spare magazine orders.

As soon as we know one way or the other if we can get the guns we'll notify those on the email list and put a notice up on this forum and our website.

We don't have any other info available at this time.
