why not just buy the mount from RRS?
The Vice? I am sure it is nice gear but the direct mounts are much nicer.

not the Vyce. Whats the connection method on the bottom? There are direct mount plates for almost all chassis (or a universal railed adapter - Arca)
Ah gotcha, there are no plates for the MPA chassis. MPA does the dovetail cut right into the bottom of the chassis. They call it the RAT system.

Any competent machine shop should be able to do it if you have the dimensions
RRS supplies the dimensions to anyone, as it's an "open source" system.

The dimensions are actually on RRS' website. I'll second Michael being a good guy, was squadded with him at JC Steel!
