After a courageous battle a Pioneer in bringing Sporting Clay shooting to Canada has passed to glory.
Warren with his family has run Twin Creeks Kennels, Sporting Clay and Shooting Preserve for over well over 30 years.
Uncountable numbers of sporting clay shooters were introduced to the game, guided along to improve or just plain enjoyed his target setting, fast live birds and cheerful nature. He will be greatly missed.
Sympathy's extended to Joanne and family in the loss of such a great husband, father and sportsman.

I`m sad to find out by just joining this forum , that a friend and fellow sporting clay shooter has passed away. Warren and myself and others helped run the Canadian Sporting Clays Assoc. many years ago and as a group that enjoyed the sport, we all worked hard to make the game fun for all . I will always remember Warren as a hard worker, in the game we all loved to do . He will be missed by all that new him. Brian Gabriel

Mr. Powers, late of Inwood, Ont.

I did not know Mr. Powers, but my father during WW2 was the doctor in Bothwell. He had patients from Inwood, Shetland, Cairo, Newbury, Glencoe, Wardsville, over towards Dresden and well south of the Thames River. In those days, country doctors made home visits, office hours (no appointment) and still tried to visit any patients in a hospital. Many a day, he visited London hospital(s) as well as the Chatham General, made country calls and still tried to cover patients waiting to see him in the office. Those years took a toll of his health and he only lived to 67.

My father loved to get out with the local farmers on a winter jack rabbit drive, hunt pheasants and try to get down to Rondeau for some duck hunting. If Mr. Powers and my father would have met, they would have been instant friends.

RIP Mr. Powers.
